Q: Where
does your HCG come from? Is there a difference between your HCG
and the HCG used by others?
A:
There is a difference. Not all HCG is the same. We get our HCG
from one, specific supplier, who we’ve known and trusted for
nearly 20 years. They have spent a great deal of time and
money, working with various sources for HCG, throughout the
world. After years of extensive research, investing a
significant amount of financial capital, to find the best
product, the best manufacturers and the most reasonable pricing,
for the quality product, they have found what we consider to be
the finest synthesized HCG available anywhere, at any price. We
only sell to you, what we use for our own family.
Q:
Can I eat more than 500 calories and still lose weight?
A:
The product will not work with a higher number of calories. You
could possibly go a little over 500 calories and be okay, but
chances are that it will slow down your weight loss.
Q:
Won’t I gain a few pounds on “Gorge Days”?
A:
You need to eat as many fattening, high calorie foods as
possible on Gorge Days. Believe it or not, the more you eat on
Gorge Days, the easier the rest of The Cajun Diet will be.
Don't worry about gaining a few pounds on Gorge Days. You will
take it off in the first few days, and the fat will start to
"melt" off of your body.
Q:
Why are the “Gorge Days” necessary?
A:
As soon as the HCG hormone hits your system, it starts looking
for fat to burn. It takes a couple of days for the HCG hormone
to permeate your system, and get into to the abnormal fat
reserves. The “Gorge Days” supply fat that can be readily
burned by the HCG, so that none of your structural or normal fat
is burned.
Q:
Is there a special diet for diabetics?
A:
The diet is the same for diabetics. What we have found is that,
while on this diet, many diabetics are able to discontinue
taking their diabetic medications after a few days of treatment.
The blood sugar continues to drop each day until it reaches
normal values in 2-3 weeks. This is not the case with all
diabetics, so make sure you check with your doctor, and continue
to monitor your blood sugar levels. You may need to
adjust/lower your medication based on your blood sugar levels
throughout The Cajun Diet.
Q:
How do diabetics get the carbohydrates they need on The Cajun
Diet?
A:
Each day you eat 2 starches and 2 vegetables, plus 2 small
servings of either a melba toast or a grissini bread stick.
This is where you get your carbohydrates.
Q:
What if I get hungry between meals? Is it okay to split up the
meals?
A:
There may be some occasions when you feel hungry on The Cajun
Diet. You can space your meals throughout the day, so that you
are constantly eating. For example, you can have coffee/tea in
the morning when you wake up. Eat an apple at mid-morning,
have a grissini breadstick in the early afternoon; eat your
lunch in the mid-afternoon, say around 2 PM. Eat your second
grissini breadstick or Melba toast late afternoon around 4 PM.
Eat dinner in the evening around 6 PM and your second fruit in
the late evening around 8 PM. Drink lots of water throughout
the day, it helps curb hunger.
Q:
Will I need an appetite suppressant to help me with hunger while
on The Cajun Diet?
A:
Our HCG hormone actually helps some with the hunger. You can
also space out the timing of your meals and/or snacks, as
described above, in the previous Q&A.
Q:
What if my brain is accustomed to having more glucose than The
Cajun Diet provides?
A:
If your brain is accustomed to more glucose, and you find that
you are having problems concentrating, try L-glutamine. It’s an
amino acid. It acts just like sugar in the brain.
Q:
Will potassium help with muscle cramps and maintaining my
strength?
A:
Potassium can be used to keep your strength up during The Cajun
Diet. The dose should range between 200-1000mg.
Q:
What if I get muscle twitches on The Cajun Diet?
A:
If you are experiencing muscle twitches, Dr. Simeons suggests
you try taking some extra magnesium.
Q:
If I normally crave sweets, how will I handle the cravings while
I’m on this diet?
A:
After 15 days of detox cleansing, (total body cleanse and
Candida cleanse) you should be rid of the yeast in your system.
It is the yeast cells in our bodies that feed on sugars, so
sugar cravings are the result of yeast in our systems. Once the
yeast overgrowth has been killed, your sugar cravings will be
greatly reduced, or even removed.
Q:
Is Stevia the only sweetener allowed?
A:
Yes and no. Saccharin and Stevia are the only sweeteners
allowed. Saccharin contains many chemicals, so it is not
advised, but The Cajun Diet will work with it. We strongly
recommend using Stevia as a sugar substitute. Stevia does not
adversely affect weight loss. All other artificial sweeteners
fool your body into thinking that they are sugar. This prompts
your body to release insulin, which causes fat storage, and
increased hunger. Stevia is not artificial and doesn't have
this effect. You can purchase Stevia on our web store.
Q:
Are vitamin supplements allowed on The Cajun Diet?
A:
Vitamin supplements are not allowed; because they may fool the
body into thinking you are getting enough calories, instead of
burning fat for energy. You shouldn't need extra vitamins while
you’re on The Cajun Diet, since your fat cells release vitamins
as they are burned.
Q:
Can I have salt on The Cajun Diet?
A:
Salt is allowed, and necessary for normal body function. It is
also important for making the food palatable. If you don't use
salt, it may be more difficult to stay on The Cajun Diet, if the
food to too bland. Don't go overboard with the salt, but use a
normal amount. With salt use, however, there can be a buildup
of fluid retention, which can appear as a stall in weight loss,
or even a small gain in weight. This is nothing to be concerned
about, as it will balance out over time.
Q:
Are we getting adequate protein on The Cajun Diet?
A:
When you are on The Cajun Diet, the HCG hormone assists in
breaking down fat tissue, which then feeds protein back into
your body, allowing you to get adequate protein levels.
Q:
Is there anything that can help with digestion and hunger while
on The Cajun Diet?
A:
Apple Cider Vinegar can help digestion and hunger, and aid in
the burning of fat. You can make an apple cider vinegar
cocktail and drink one before each meal. Use 1 Tablespoon in
3-4 oz. of water and add a little Stevia.
Q:
Can men take the HCG hormone?
A:
Men can safely use HCG without side effects. In fact, it is used
to make underdeveloped adolescent boys reach normal development.
Bodybuilders use HCG to normalize testosterone production after
using steroids. The dosages used for weight loss are very low
compared to those used for medical treatments. Over the last 40
years there have been thousands of men who have used HCG to lose
weight without any problems.
Q:
Do I need to exercise while on this diet?
A:
If you are already involved in a regular exercise program, you
may continue it, as long as it is not strenuous. Something you
should know, however, is that exercise can actually slow down
your weight loss process. Even the difference of walking 30
minutes each day can cause changes in your weight loss. (Here
again, if you were already walking 30 minutes a day before The
Cajun Diet, you may continue to do so. Your body is already
accustomed to this activity. This only refers to those who are
not on any exercise and/or walking routine when they start The
Cajun Diet.) The reason for this is that exercise builds muscle
mass, which weighs more than fat. You will still burn fat, but
you may stay at the same weight, and not lose the weight you are
hoping to lose. Dr. Simeons explains that muscles hold water
around them while they "heal" from any type of exercise. When
the muscles have retention of water, the body cannot easily
eliminate this water, and this may cause stalls in weight loss.
Q:
Are there any possible side effects, when the body burns off the
abnormal fat cells?
A:
Fat cells store hormones, pesticides, and other toxins. When
the body can't release the toxins through urine or sweat, it
will lock the toxin into the fat cells to prevent that toxin
from being released throughout your body. When you lose weight
on The Cajun Diet, your body will prioritize the burning of
abnormal fat cells. This also means that the toxins which have
been stored in the fat cell are simultaneously released into the
bloodstream. This is very good for your body, as it rids itself
of these toxins which have been "trapped" in the abnormal fat
cells. Sometimes people may experience a rash or a headache, as
the toxins are being released from their bodies. This should be
a temporary condition, and very few people experience this
symptom at all. Drink plenty of water each day, to further
assist your body, as it cleanses your system by removing these
toxins.
Q:
In regard to the toxins which are trapped in the fat cells, are
they part of the cause of cellulite?
A:
Yes
Q:
Will this diet help me to get rid of cellulite?
A:
Yes, most people can see a reduction in their cellulite, almost
immediately, as they begin to lose weight on The Cajun Diet.
And, within 9 months of attaining their desired weight loss
goal, most report having lost all cellulite. (Although this is
not a guarantee, it is what most people experience.)
Q:
Why can’t I use lotions when I’m on The Cajun Diet?
A:
Your skin is the largest organ in your body. It is made up of 3
layers: the Epidermis – the outer layer, the Dermis – the 2nd
layer, beneath the Epidermis, and Subcutaneous – the 3rd
layer, beneath the Dermis. The skin metabolizes all oil that is
placed on it, by absorbing it through the Epidermis, Dermis &
Subcutaneous layers, in a process called Transdermal Absorption,
much the same way that your body metabolizes butter that you
eat, which is absorbed through internal organs. The HCG is
looking for fat to burn. If you put lotion on your body, the
HCG may burn that fat instead of seeking out the abnormal fat
reserves in your body. This may cause your weight loss to
stall.
Q:
Is there anything which can be used for moisturizing my skin
while I’m on The Cajun Diet?
A:
Yes, we use an oil-free spray lotion (which you can purchase
from CajunDiet.com). It actually pulls moisture out of the air,
moisturizing the skin, improving its appearance, and giving it a
moist and youthful glow. It is a pH-balanced, concentrated
solution of the sodium salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, the
natural moisturizing factor found in human skin.
Q:
Is there any special time when I should weigh myself each day?
A:
Yes, you should weigh yourself each morning after using the
restroom, and before having anything to eat or drink. Weigh
yourself only once each day,
as your weight will fluctuate throughout the day as you eat or
drink. Weighing each morning on a daily basis, gives you an
accurate consistent weight each day.
Q:
Do I need a digital bathroom scale?
A:
Yes, it will help you to see exactly how much weight you are
losing each day. Some days you may only lose 0.2 pounds and
other days, you may lose 2.4 pounds. It is nice to track the
exact amount from day to day.
Q:
Do I also need a digital kitchen scale?
A:
Yes, you will be weighing most of your foods, and grams are the
easiest way to calculate the proper portions. You will need a
kitchen scale that weighs in grams
and ounces. We have
found that a small postal scale works well, and costs only about
$30 from an office supply store.
Q:
After the 40-day Cajun Diet, do you continue to eat only 500
calories per day?
A:
No. You do a modified version of the Atkins Diet or South Beach
Diet – eating no carbohydrates or sugars for the first 3-4
weeks, and then gradually adding sugar and starches back into
your diet. You will be given a daily calorie limit based on
your height, age, and weight - your BMI (Body Mass Index).
Q:
What is the hypothalamus?
A:
Losing or gaining weight has little or nothing to do with your
family genetics. It almost always comes down to a part of your
brain called the hypothalamus, which is found in the
diencephalon. It is the connecting link between the nervous
system and all of your hormones. This is what controls your
“hunger sensor”.
Q:
Why do I need to reset my hypothalamus?
A:
Since the hypothalamus controls your “hunger sensor”, it is
important for it to work properly. The Cajun Diet’s HCG
Protocol prompts your hypothalamus to reset and function
correctly, enabling your body to properly control cravings, and
to eliminate Abnormal Fat, while redistributing Normal &
Structural Fat accordingly. This functions as a natural form of
“Liposuction”, by resetting the hypothalamus, to perform the
functions for which it was originally designed. This is the
difference between a “naturally” slim person and a person who
struggles with their weight.
Q:
How do I reset my hypothalamus, to achieve a natural form of
LIPOSUCTION?
A:
The Cajun Diet’s HCG Protocol, combined with the other three
Phases, which complement this central core process, all work in
synergy to achieve the goal of resetting the hypothalamus. The
key component is a substance which was first used more than 50
years ago, when discovered by a British Physician, Dr. A. T. W.
Simeons. When used in small doses, twice daily, Human Chorionic
Gonadatrophin, known as “HCG”, combined
with a very low calorie diet, gives your body and hypothalamus
plenty of time to rest and naturally reset itself to operate
effectively.
Q:
When will my hypothalamus be reset, to function like that of a
“naturally thin” person?
A:
As you now know, there are 4 Phases to The Cajun Diet: The
Detoxification Phase, The HCG Protocol Phase, The Break Phase,
and The Maintenance Phase. Your hypothalamus will not be
properly reset until after you have lost all the weight that you
need to lose (abnormal fat), and then, maintained that weight.
Your brain should start to function like that of a person who is
“naturally” slim. At this stage, most people are able to
maintain their weight loss like never before.
Q:
What is the typical weight loss per day while on The Cajun Diet?
A:
Typically clients lose 1/2 to 1 pound a day while on the 40-day
diet. You will not be losing muscle mass. You are only losing
unwanted fat reserves in your body (abnormal fat) and allowing
your body and hypothalamus to completely reset themselves. The
more weight you need to lose, the faster it will come off. You
will also notice massive inches coming off even when you are not
losing weight.
Q:
Who developed this diet?
A:
A British physician who lived in Italy, Dr. A.T.W. Simeons,
developed this diet plan over 50 years ago. We have a copy of
his original manuscript on The CajunDiet.com website. This diet
has been proven to work consistently, if a client adheres to the
specific protocol. The key to resetting the hypothalamus lies in
using extremely small daily doses of this formulation
sublingually (under the tongue). This formulation simulates a
hormone called Human Chorionic Gonadatrophin or HCG. When used
with a very low calorie diet, this gives your body and
hypothalamus plenty of time to rest and naturally reset itself
to operate effectively.
Q:
Does this diet work only for those who have lots of weight to
lose?
A:
No, this diet works for everyone, regardless of how much weight
you have to lose. Those who need to lose 20 pounds or more are
exceptional candidates for this weight loss protocol. Brides
who are wanting to fit into their wedding gowns can achieve
their goal within 5 weeks. Others, who need to lose 100's of
pounds, can also have success on this protocol.
Q:
What if I don’t lose all the weight I need to lose in 40 days?
A:
For those who need to lose more than 20 pounds, more than one
40-day cycle will be needed. When more than one cycle is
needed, you must allow for a 3-6 week break in order to prevent
your body from becoming immune to the sublingual formulation.
This weight loss protocol can assist you in achieving your dream
weight and clothing size.
Q:
Will this diet help my overall health?
A:
This diet may also assist in relieving your body of many
symptoms and problems you may be experiencing like diabetes,
thyroid, high blood pressure, etc. Your body's health situation
will also play a part in how fast or slow the weight comes off.
It is important to detoxify your body prior to starting the
actual diet. Our weight loss protocol starts with an initial
detoxification program for either 15 or 30 days.
Q:
What type of makeup is allowed on The Cajun Diet?
A:
Mineral makeup is best when on The Cajun Diet protocol, as it
contains almost no oil, and it comes from only natural
ingredients. The doctor who designed this diet over 50 years
ago would not allow his patients to wear makeup of any kind.
(Keep in mind most of his patients went to his clinic in Europe
and "disappeared" for 43 days at a time, so I think it was
easier to keep people from wearing makeup when they are
literally out of sight.) This is almost impossible for most of
us. We suggest you use mineral makeup and an oil-free spray
lotion as the basis for your makeup.
Q:
How is this diet different from The Cajun Diet in Kevin
Trudeau’s book?
A:
If you buy Kevin Trudeau's book, he stresses the detox end of
The Cajun Diet very strongly. He suggests I think it's twice
weekly colonics, and going totally organic. He also only talks
about the HCG in injection form and not sublingual. You would
have to be rich and have tons of free time to do The Cajun Diet
the way he presents it. Our diet is designed to be some thing
that almost "everyone" can do.
Q:
Please explain how the HCG helps me to lose weight where I need
to lose weight and gain weight where I need to gain weight?
A:
This HCG hormone will actually elongate your muscles, as if you
were doing Pilates. A natural liposuction occurs within the
body. Areas where no fat is supposed to be are burned up or
redirected to some areas that actually need fat for structural
or normal fat. Dr. Simeons talks about a woman who came to
him. From the waist up she was in an anorexic state, and from
the waist down she was obese. She had tried starvation diet,
after starvation diet, to try to lose the weight. However with
each previous diet, she would only lose from the waist up, and
never from below the waist. Dr. Simeons put her on his 40-day
protocol. At the end of the 40 days, she weighed the exact same
amount; only the fat was now evenly distributed throughout her
body. She lost weight where she needed to lose weight, and she
"filled" out the places that were nothing but skin and bone.
Q:
How and when do I take the HCG drops?
A:
The drops are taken sublingually (under the tongue) in the
morning and then 12 hours later in the evening. 15 minutes
before the drops, you can't eat or drink anything. You then
keep the drops under your tongue for 15 minutes. You swallow
the drops, and then nothing to eat or drink for 15 minutes after
the drops.
Q:
How many calories will I burn each day?
A:
This diet is very strict, but the results are amazing. You eat
only 500 calories a day on the special diet, but you burn 2500
calories a day. You burn only abnormal body fat, basically the
fat around your stomach, thighs, arm flab, double chin, and all
the other places you want to lose weight. On most diets, these
are the hard places to lose weight, but on this diet, these are
the target areas.
Q:
What exactly is HCG?
A:
Human Chorionic Gonadatrophin or HCG as we call it. The HCG
hormone is found in pregnant women's urine. Our drops are a
synthetic form of that hormone. The HCG creates a form of "false
pregnancy" in both men and women who take the drops. When a
woman is pregnant, and she doesn't eat the calories needed to
maintain her weight and to sustain the baby, her body begins
accessing her "abnormal" fat reserves, to burn the fat needed
for fuel - energy. As the "host" for the baby, it is important
that the pregnant woman not lose any structural fat or normal
fat. The "host" must remain healthy, so the baby can have a
healthy environment in which to grow.
Q:
What is different about “abnormal fat”?
A:
The body has 3 types of fat, structural, normal, and abnormal.
The structural fat is the fat around your organs that give
support and cushion to the organs. Structural fat is also around
the muscles to create shape and form. One example of structural
fat is the fat that supports the muscles in your face. On this
diet, you don't lose that fat, however you will lose the fat
that is in a double chin, because that is abnormal fat. The fat
in breasts and buttocks is "normal fat", so you don't lose that
fat either.
